KSTONE and Corian are separate brands. A product sold by KSTONE is not Corian simply because both belong to the solid surface category. Compare the actual grade and documentation rather than assuming brand equivalence.

What a shared category means

Acrylic solid surface uses a resin binder, mineral filler and pigments. Different products can share this broad construction while differing in formulation, colours, dimensions, fabrication guidance and warranty. Another brand’s certification or technical data cannot be transferred to KSTONE material.

Check the approved specification

Record the supplier, grade, colour code, thickness and finish. If a project specifies Corian, submit a proposed KSTONE alternative for client or designer approval before ordering. A similar colour or a lower quotation is not sufficient approval.

Review documents and samples

Request current data, safety information and relevant reports for the product offered. Check the scope of emissions, fire or food-contact evidence. Avoid blanket claims of zero VOCs or identical certification. Approve a physical sample and joint mock-up.

Compare service and cost

Assess fabrication, local repair support, replacement supply and the written warranty. Compare the complete delivered and installed scope, including material yield and downtime.
