Considering KSTONE for a project that also includes Wilsonart solid surface? Compare the exact products and project requirements. This guide provides a qualification process; it does not claim identical performance, an exact colour match or a guaranteed price saving.
Start with the commercial specification
List the intended use, cleaning agents, finish, colour, fire requirements, accessibility details and maintenance plan. Ask each supplier for documents covering the exact product offered. A certificate for a different grade or an expired report does not validate a substitution.
Review maintenance and repair access
Solid surface from more than one manufacturer can be repairable. Ask who can perform local repairs, what spare material should be retained and whether replacement colours may vary between batches. Evaluate the proposed repair method and its limits rather than promising invisible repair.
Use a like-for-like comparison
| Item | What to confirm for both offers |
|---|---|
| Material | Grade, resin system, colour, thickness and sheet dimensions. |
| Fabrication | Adhesive, joints, support, cut-outs and the approved final finish. |
| Documents | Product data, safety data and current reports required for this application. |
| Commercial terms | Quantity, scope, delivery term, quote validity, warranty and claim contact. |
Understand normal solid surface limits
Acrylic solid surface can scratch and can be damaged by direct hot cookware. Many light marks can be refinished, and skilled fabrication can make joints inconspicuous, but outcomes depend on the product, colour, finish and damage. Non-porous does not establish antibacterial or food-contact certification.
Request a project-specific offer
KSTONE supplies pure acrylic and modified acrylic solid surface materials and fabrication solutions. Availability, sample matching, lead time and pricing need confirmation for the actual order. Read our grade comparison and cost guide, then send your specification and drawings.
